The Megalodon – Ultem

Description

The Megalodon is one of the biggest plectrums I make. It offers an extended grip area, and the added thickness allows for fast pivoting, string skipping and extra bite.

Only available in my most resilient materials, for the most outstanding wear resistance! Ultem (polyetherimide) is an advanced engineering plastic with an interesting range of properties. It is hard, durable, and actually feels sticky to the touch. It has a very unique feeling as it passes over the string, somewhat akin to playing with horn or tortoise shell, and the grip is incredibly secure. It responds well to changes in pick attack, allowing for excellent control of dynamics.

Like a lot of my plectrums, this giant features my ergonomic shaping for the very best in comfort. The shape is deceptively versatile, and allows for a wide variety of playing styles. Everything from sweet, expressive lead lines to crushing metal rhythms.
