In this second episode of The Science, I reveal the story of nature’s most boney product, Tagua.
Otherwise known as Vegetable Ivory and used for everything from buttons to tiny pots, this abundant material has crept slowly into the Plectroverse through companies like Howling Monkey, Pleks and Suibhne, and made its way firmly into my affections with a living, righteous tone.
