I started Heavy Repping! to throw light on the Plectroverse and the makers within it.

I discovered boutique picks back in 2018 and have preaching the gospel of picks ever since. Suffering wrist problems because of over-aggression and poor right-hand technique meant that I was searching for something to really make a difference to my engagement with the instrument, and I found that in picks.

I started Heavy Repping! to throw light on the Plectroverse and the makers within it. It started with 1 minute-long reviews on Instagram and has grown into a thriving community, YouTube channel, podcast and audiobooks. I’ve been lucky enough to be mentored by the likes of Joe Macey, and featured in Brian Bouchard’s Guitar Picks Of Rock And Roll 2.

Everything I’ve experienced with the thousands of picks that I’ve collected and the conversations I’ve had with players from all over the world shows me that the plectrum is a fundamental aspect of what we do as players. Not only does it deepen our connection with the instruments we’ve spent years of our lives learning and playing, but it alters our tone to be infinitely better.

Whether you’re grinding relentlessly or strumming with grace, the right pick will make you better. Heavy Repping! represents the makers that will make that happen.

All Glory to the Plectroverse.
